This Keep Cool and Soothe set from the brand Keep Cool has been taking the K-Skincare world by storm it seems, it’s the first time I’ve heard of the product itself but from what I’ve seen online it seems as though people were anticipating it for a long time. Let’s see what’s up.

I’ve heard about the brand Keep Cool some time back but hadn’t really looked into it. Probably a few months back, I started seeing more ads and posts about the Keep Cool and Soothe products, hyping them up and generally starting a train. Then I got a chance to try and review them through the Picky App, so here’s the review!
Keep Cool and Soothe Toner and Emulsion
To be honest, I’ve lost track of how long I’ve been testing the Toner and Emulsion from  Keep Cool. My guesstimate is that I’ve been using it for about a month. I really like the toner, it’s watery but also very hydrating and sinks into the skin very fast. There’s no scent to it, and I feel that it leaves the skin smooth but plump too.
Keep Cool and Soothe Toner and Emulsion
The emulsion feels really good, it’s watery, spreadable, virtually scentless and it leaves a velvet-like feel to the skin. However, I’m very cautious when using it because it is made with coconut oil (or something along the lines of coconut oil). For that first starting in Korean Skincare, there’s a big argument/controversy about having coconut oil in products because it is comedogenic, meaning they have a higher chance of clogging your skin/pores.
Those with oily or highly sensitive skin should see how tolerant they are of coconut oil and etc. before committing to using a product that has it on the ingredient list. On the other hand, there’s supposed to be a lot of benefits to having coconut oil in products, one of which is reducing inflammation. I have combination skin, and I don’t like dealing with pimples so I’ve been trying to limit the use of products containing coconut oil. That being said, I’ll finish up the rest of the emulsion but as much as I like it, I probably won’t purchase it.
The toner, on the other hand, is one I will likely purchase in the future. It is essentially water (bamboo water really) but it hydrates the skin really well, I can’t think of a word to describe the feeling of it after it sinks into the skin, but it leaves the skin very plump-feeling. There’s also no scent to the toner at all, and I believe it should be a great starter product for anyone just getting into Skincare/Korean Skincare because it’s honestly pretty simple.

Overall, I was really excited to try the Keep Cool and Soothe Lotion and Toner and thank you to Picky for running this contest and the various other ones that are currently running as well. Seriously, go check out the Picky App if you haven’t, it’s a great resource to have if you’re constantly trying new skincare or want to up your skincare game.
