Halloween starts tomorrow, so for those of you who still don’t have a costume, here are some makeup ideas you can try. You can create the looks however you like, these are only suggestions to get your creativity going.
1) Ice Queen
Ice Queen Costumes/looks for Halloween have been really popular after the release of Frozen, and The Huntsman; Winter’s War. Even though it’s been a few years, it’s still a good choice. Here’s what you’ll need;
- Any Pale/iridescent shadow/powder
- White or shimmery beige eyeliner
- Pale lipstick
- Iridescent highlight
- Pale body paint or Foundation (optional)
2) Queen of Gold
Opposite of the Ice Queen’s typical colours, we have the queen of gold (Ravenna in The Huntsman). Here’s what you’ll need:
- Gold or shimmery bronze shadow/powder
- Bronze or black eyeliner
- Gold lipstick (optional)
- Gold coloured highlight
- Gold body paint (optional)
3) Vampire
Vampires rarely get old (well they’re immortal…..) even as a Halloween costume. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Red lipstick
- Lipstick applicator brush (to make bite marks/scratches
- Dark brown/earth tone eyeshadow
- Red/maroon eyeshadow to enhance bite mark (optional)
4) Mermaid
Mermaid makeup costumes are what I think to be the easiest of all makeup costumes. You really can’t go wrong by using pastel or blue/green shadow/powder. Here’s what you’ll need:
- Fishnet something (to create scales with)
- Makeup sponge (any will do)
- Your choice of shadows/powder (try a light blue, royal blue and lavender/purple mix)
- Any colour eyeliner
- Your choice of lipstick colour
5) Queen of Darkness
Queen of Darkness is a loose title for a makeup look using dark/moody fall colours. You can pick and choose to your liking but here are some suggestions:
- Mauve or burgundy lipstick
- Burgundy and dark brown eyeshadow
- Black or brown eyeliner
- Black eyeliner (for dark veins along the neck)
- For added effect draw a moon on your cheekbone
These are some makeup ideas for last minute costumes, you can modify them to your liking/preferences and just be creative about it.
