Hello again! As you can see, things have changed around here. Shall we sit and catch up?

For anyone new to my blog, hi! I’m Malisa, also known under the username Vesalisa. I write about beauty (mainly the world of Korean Beauty) and some general Lifestyle topics. I’ve been blogging for close to 4-5 years now, having started my blog in High School. Then I got more serious about it, but you can learn a little more about me here.

About 2 weeks ago, I decided to start self-hosting via WordPress.org. My old site on Weebly was incredibly slow both on mobile and on desktop, and it seemed my only option was to hire someone to help fix it.

I was all for it, but the price I was quoted was close to $300 (I’m assuming USD). With all respect to the person I contacted, I’m assuming it’s a fair price. But for an active college student, that is out of my budget. So I crunched some numbers and compared the pros and cons before moving.

Things are still a work in progress, and I’m still fiddling around in the background to get my desired results. Though it’s gone fairly well? Knock on wood so I don’t jinx myself later, but I think I’ve been lucky to not have accidentally crashed the site by now LOL.

I’ll eventually get into why I left Weebly, later on under the College Life tag. Speaking about College Life, it’s now a regular blog category instead of a sub-blog like it was on Weebly. I also have some life/school updates to do there too, eventually. So please look out for that in the coming week(s) if you’re interested!

The next few days/weeks will be a little slow, while I get used to WordPress and the system to write blog posts. But shortly after that, there’s going to be a little blitz of content. Some of it is to catch up with missed posts during the period when my site was being migrated. And some will be new content that has to go out. I haven’t been sitting idly when the site was being moved 😅.

I want to thank you for sticking with me and I hope you’ll come back for the content!
