To put it simply, this my hack for on the go makeup.
I timed myself anywhere between 5-15mins when I did this, and it could vary if you’re going to add additional steps. This is my go-to way of getting ready in the morning if I have pimples/red spots and a little bit of time on my hand to put some makeup on.
First step is to prep the skin, I’ve kind of perfected this over the last 4-5 years so it doesn’t take long to wash my face and then apply toner, emulsion and cream. I only add the last step when I know that it’s going to be super cold and/or dry that day. It also acts like a really good makeup base.
Second step is just concealer, I focus on any dark circles under my eyes, blemishes, and at the red areas around my nose. I usually avoid putting any concealer on my cheeks if it’s not needed, so there’s no need for blush.
Third step is to set the concealer, if you want to end it there. I use both a matte and shimmer setting powder, shimmer around the areas you highlight and matte for the rest/oily areas.
However, if it’s one of those days where more coverage is needed. The second step I’d actually layer on more concealer, usually this would be one of those days where I have more redness so I’d dab some concealer on my cheeks.
At this point, my “natural blush” is usually nonexistent so I add a little blusher (usually a coral colour) to even it out as the third step. Fourth step is some highlight, because my concealer dries down matte.
Depending on your concealer, how you want to look and etc. I wouldn’t recommend a blinding highlight but work with what’s best for you.
The ending/setting steps are the same. Then, there you go! Ready to be out the door in 15mins max, after you’ve gotten used to the short routine. Though I’ll be honest, most days I don’t do anything when I leave other than skincare.

What I use: The Face Shop Concealer (specific one was discontinued), BareMinerals Translucent Powder Duo, Holika Holika Jelly Dough Blusher (Grapefruit), Nyx Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder (Snow Rose).
