One of the easiest ways to de-stress during the school year is to assemble your personal at home spa kit now, then gradually use it throughout the year. It includes everything from bath/shower essentials, to masks and treatments. Please note that there’s a lot of products listed here, but you don’t necessarily need to get all of them.
Bath Essentials
First up are some bath essentials for you to soak the stress away, all the while leaving your skin smoother than it was before! This category includes bath powders/salts, bath bombs and any other bubble bath product of your choice. My suggestions include: Kokubo Soy Milk Foaming Bath, Lush bath bombs and Bath & Body Works bath fizzies.
Lush Bath Bomb suggestions: Turtle jelly bomb, intergalatic bath bomb, twilight, big blue, the big sleep & marmalade.
*P.s. If you don’t have a bathtub you could split the bath bomb into half and dissolve it in a bucket of water and use it as a “bucket bath”. However, you’ll still need to shower or rinse off afterwards.*
Shower Essentials
If you don’t have a bathtub or prefer to not waste a lot of water by taking a bath, here are some shower essentials for you: Lush shower jellies, Bath & Body Works shower gels, Pelican Soap for back (herbal citrus) or your favourite scented shower gel.
Suggestions: Lush “Whoosh” shower jelly, Bath & Body Works Rose shower gel and B&BW Japanese Cherry Blossom shower gel.
Masks
This section is literally a free for all and includes sheet masks, potted face masks, clay masks and etc. Feel free to use your favourites, or try one of the recommendations below.
Recommendations: Skinfood Rice Wash Off Mask, Elizavecca Carbonated Clay Mask, Innisfree Volcanic Pore Clay Mask, Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask, Etude House Collagen Eye Patch, Etude House Bubble Tea Sleeping Pack & Heimish Bulgarian Rose Water Hydrogel Eye Patch.
Exfoliants
This is purely optional but I would recommend getting an exfoliant because it helps you achieve softer, smoother skin when you use it once or twice a week by removing the dead skin. Recommendations:
- Neogen Bio-Peel Peeling Gauze
- The Face Shop Mild Papaya Peeling
There are also other products you can use such as Skinfood’s sugar scrubs!
Hair Products
To finally complete the whole at home spa kit experience, be sure to include some sort of hair product that you wouldn’t normally use. It could be a colouring product (if you know how to use one), hair treatment, hair oil/serum and etc.
Personal Recommendations: Etude House Silk Scarf Hologram Hair Serum, and Etude House Silk Scarf Double Hair Care Mask. These items leave your hair really soft, and smelling nice for a bit.
You could also use Missha 7-days colouring treatment, Tosowoong Repair Sleeping Hair Pack and Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Treatment.
