If you’re following at least one other account (besides me lol) that posts about skincare in Toronto, you may have heard about Sukoshi Mart’s newest Skin Analysis Experience. These events pop up now and then, so act quickly to book a spot before they’re all gone!
Sukoshi Mart has partnered with Skin1004 for this skin analysis experience, and it runs from Oct 31st to Nov 16th at CF Toronto Eaton Centre. The experience is about 15 minutes long, and they have time slots (depending on the day) from around 10 AM to 8 PM. More info can be found on their site here.
I’ve wanted to get a skin analysis done for a while now, but honestly, I wasn’t sure where I’d even start looking for places that did these. I’m mainly concerned about the dark spots and sun damage my skin may have, but it would also be nice to double-check my skin type and its overall condition. Luckily, Sukoshi Mart and Skin1004 came through. You have two ways to do this experience;
- Pay a $10 deposit to book your time slot to guarantee the spot. That $10 is then converted to a credit you can use in the store on the day of the appointment.
- Try for a walk-in appointment. But they will only do this if there’s no appointment at that time.
My friend and I were downtown a few days ago and decided to stop by since we were already there. Unfortunately, they were all booked up that day, so I did end up booking a time slot online for another day. I highly recommend booking the time slot if this is something you really want to do (like me), and P.S., the store credit seems to apply to everything, not just skincare.

I was with another friend to catch up, so I didn’t take any pictures or videos during this experience. These were my results:
- I have oily skin (I usually have combo skin, but this is known to fluctuate)
- My skin age is 21 (I am older than 21 lol)
- I forgot to take note of the moisture/sebum levels
- I do have a lot of pores (it is what it is)
- But pores look good, not super deep, and they’re clean (that’s a big relief because I did not know they checked that lol)
- Wrinkles are there, but not super bad/prominent
- Low dark spot/sun damage, which is really good, but I feel the need to be more consistent with it
Main focus areas:
- Hydration
- Pores
Having done the analysis, I feel a little more relieved because I now know which areas to focus my attention on. I already had it in mind to focus more on hydration and pore care, so I’ll be doubling down on that + sun care. Additionally, I really appreciated how reassuring and thoughtful the beauty advisor was, because when seeing your numbers compared to the average of others, it’s really easy to get all caught up in that and kind of panic or feel let down.
But one thing to keep in mind is that there are so many other factors that come into play, and no two people will have the same skin, numbers or skin condition.
On a lighter note, I was actually really surprised at the results for my pores. I’ve been dealing with pore concerns (blackheads, sebum, etc.) all my life, but to hear that the numbers are pretty good was a happy surprise. I guess that’s one way to tell that the new-ish addition to my routine is working, but I’ll wait a little longer before confirming just to be sure.
