While I’m still getting the hang of eye makeup in general, because it’s something that I feel cannot be learned overnight, but rather something that you’ll always learn and improve on. With that being said I love trying out different eye makeup products and then I came across this baby. Aritaum’s Shine Fix Eyes, which I suppose is a pot glitter shadow.
Before we get started, congratulations to the Toronto Raptors for winning their first NBA Championship last night! I don’t follow sports but even I got roped into the excitement just minutes before midnight when they were announced the winners, I never thought the condo would get so loud! Cars were busy honking up and down the street as well.
Anyways, back to Aritaum. I remember seeing the eye shadow while I was browsing the YesStyle website, and I was interested in actually getting my hands on a sparkly pot shadow because I’ve yet to try one. Though I will admit that I was scared at first because I’m still dabbling in eye shadows and my best look is a natural looking eye look without any glitter.
The shade I opted for is No. 22 Cinnamon Rose, which looks like its name. A light glittery rosè colour with hints of cinnamon. The eye shadow, from what I can tell, is easy to pack on but also pretty easy to blend using your fingers. I’ve yet to use brushes with this but I believe it would be harder to pickup the product using a brush that using your finger. It’s also pretty easy to accidentally pickup a lot more product than you need, so be a little light handed with this if you aren’t used to it.
Price wise, at the time I got the product it was $7.80 CAD. I don’t have other products of this type so unfortunately I cannot tell you if it’s worth it at this price, but in a general sense it isn’t bad price if you like single shadows. Especially because it’s rather pigmented and glittery. Like most glittery shadows however, the product can get everywhere if you aren’t careful. There also seems to be a little bit of fallout after about 5 hours, but I don’t use this a lot to be able to tell for sure.
All in all, would I purchase this again or in a different colour? For sure! I’m already a type of person who’d buy single shadows over a palette because of me being slightly picky about eye shadow colours, so honestly why not? Though one at a time seems to be enough.
