Hello and welcome! This is the first review for the Skinfood X StyleKorean TMRM, if you didn’t come from the previous post, no worries! You can check out the introductory post here, to get some background info.

First of all, these products were given to me in exchange for an honest review as part of StyleKorean’s Try Me Review Me program. This time around, it’s with the brand Skinfood.

Skinfood was one of the first Korean Beauty brands that I learned about in Canada, and their entire brand image is about skincare products based on food items. Good food for your skin, if you will. The first product I’m trying is their Black Sugar Wash Off Mask.

This mask is supposed to be a gentle exfoliating mask for you skin.

Personally, I love potted wash-off face masks. There are so many styles out there and I especially love the ones offered by Skinfood. The container is an easy twist off type, and doesn’t take up a lot of room on the vanity.

First glance at the mask and it looks a little odd, but it smells nice! I’ve never used a sugar mask before so this was a really new experience for me, especially since the sugar grains were pretty sticky. I half expected it to start crumbling everywhere but it didn’t.

When using the mask, instructions say to use it after washing your face so I’m going to assume that it’s best practice to use it on slgihtly damp skin for the best results. I also found spending the mask on damp skin made it apply easily too!

After applying (I applied a light-ish layer) you’re supposed to wait 20-15 minutes before washing it off.
