If you’re going to get yourself a new iPad, you’re going to need a few other things. Especially if you’re going to be bringing that baby on campus.

The essentials (in my opinion) are needed; an iPad screen protector and an iPad case. These are the basics you should get shortly after bringing home a new iPad, they protect your device, prevent scratches and bumps. Chargers and adaptors are also things you should get shortly after bringing home a new iPad, but that depends on the iPad model.

I recently got an iPad Air (4th gen) and both ends of the charger are USB-C, most of the ports in the house are the regular USB-A so getting a separate USB-C to USB-A charger is high up on my list. But if you’re bringing home an iPad that uses the lightning cord charger, you probably wouldn’t have to worry about getting a spare or etc anytime soon.

In addition to those basic ones, back-to-school sales are probably one of the best times to buy Power Banks. Some are so expensive now but you can find a good deal on a nice power bank during this time.

You’ll be surprised at how helpful they are and at how many people don’t even have them! That being said, however, some malls and schools do offer charging stations.

General Tips

Online school is a lot different than the normal on-campus stuff we did I’ll admit, but some schools have managed to adapt to it better than others.

My advice? If your school runs virtual events and etc, attend if you can! They can be fun, you could win prizes. But most importantly, you’ll meet other students at the school and in your program.

At a time when communication and commutes to school are limited, take the time to get to know your classmates through these activities. It’ll also help to know your friends before you show up for class, or maybe that’s just me being nervous lol.

Either way, I hope this was helpful! I will have a few more back-to-school stuff coming out as we head closer to the start of the school year (at least in Canada, we start in September). For more school stuff, check out this post!
